Q: When I try to register I get the following message: "Error: You can only use standard English alphabet letters here."

A: The reason could be that you have typed in numbers, spaces or symbols other than the standard English alphabet letters. That means no letters like; é, ü or Ф. If the problem persists, please contact us at support@fotoalbum.eu specifying the user name that you wish to register with and we will try to help you.

MY PROFILE

Q: I would like to change my user name / password / e-mail address entered at the time of registration.

A: You can change your user name, password and e-mail address under the section "My Profile" on our website. Please note that once you change your user name, your viewers will only be able to find you by your new user name (your old one will no longer be valid).

Q: I have forgotten my password.

A: You can request a password reminder by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link under the login button. A new password will be sent to you on e-mail.

Q: I requested a password reminder, but I never got it.

A: It is possible that the password reminder e-mail that was sent to you got caught in your spam filter. If this is not the case, please contact us at support@fotoalbum.eu and we will send you a new password.

Q: I forgot my user name.

A: Please contact us at support@fotoalbum.eu specifying the e-mail address you used when you registered and we will try to recover your registration details.

Q: How can I upload more than one photo at a time?

A: Hold down Ctrl or Shift to select several photos, or drag a box around the photos you need. Note that if your internet connection is slow, you should avoid uploading too many pictures at the same time.

Q: I can't upload photos.

A: Click on the orange help icon at the bottom of the upload page in order to select a different upload method. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact us at support@fotoalbum.eu and we will try to help you.

Q: Which file formats does Fotoalbum.eu support?

A: Fotoalbum.eu supports the following extensions: jpeg, jpg, gif, and png.

Q: How can I change the order of the photos in an album?

A: You can change the order of photos in an album by using your mouse to drag and drop them wherever you like.

Q: How can I move a photo to another album?

A: When in overview mode inside an album, press the "Move" button underneath the photo you wish to move and select the alternative album you wish to move it to.

Q: How do I change the name of a photo or an album?

A: Point at the existing name of the photo or album, click on it and you will get an option to create a new name.

Q: Can I choose which photo will appear as the main thumbnail of the album in the "My Albums" section?

A: The photo that comes first in an album is automatically selected to be shown as the main thumbnail. You can change this photo by using the drag and drop function to change the order of the images in your album.

Q: How can I share my albums with friends and family?

A: You can click on the "Share" icon positioned to the right of the album thumbnail in the "My Albums" section. There you can enter e-mail addresses, which will automatically receive an e-mail invitation to view your albums. If you wish to share your albums with more people, you can copy and paste the URL of your albums in a standard e-mail message. They will then be able to view your albums by clicking on the link you provided. The URL is our website’s URL, followed by your user name. Example: www.fotoalbum.eu/Maria.

Q: How can I view other users' albums? Can I exhibit my albums to the general public?

A: Fotoalbum.eu's current focus is to host personal albums that users can share with people of their choice. Visitors can only view albums whose URL they already know. We are considering, as a future development, to create a section on our website where members, if they wish to, can exhibit their photos to other members and users of the site.

Q: Can several users, such as a family or a school class, upload photos in the same profile?

A: Yes. Anyone who has the login details of a profile (user name and password) can upload photos in that profile. The profile, however, can be registered using only one e-mail address. All communication from Fotoalbum.eu, such as welcome messages, forgotten password, etc. will be received only at that e-mail address.

Q: Who can see my albums?

A: Only users who know your user name or the URL to your albums can view your albums.

Q: Can I protect my albums with a password?

A: Yes. Go to the "My Profile" section and create a password. Viewers will need to request and receive the password from you before they can access your albums.

Q: How many photos can I have in one album?

A: You can have up to [100] photos in an album.

Q: How many albums can I have in my profile?

A: You can have up to [200] albums in one user profile.

Q: What is the maximum size of a photo I can upload?

A: You can upload a photo with a maximum size of [8000] kb.
